Tornado

The sirens went off, and I went to the window to survey whether the church had sustained any damage. While standing in front of the window, it hit. I was speaking on the phone and WHAM! My cell phone dropped the call. There was rain everywhere and a blast of wind that caused the steel building to creak and pop like a rusty old front door. Through the window, I saw nothing but white until I got up close to it and peered through to see an entire tree line leaning practically horizontal in the supercharged winds. (Note to self: get away from the window.)
I ran down the hall to warn the rest of the offices, only to meet them in the hallway. When we moved to the front door, we saw it: a dozen up-rooted trees and some of them snapped in half. Water began rushing into the building from above where the roof appeared to have taken some minor damage. But, we were alive, unharmed, and grateful. God is good, you know? And...powerful...VERY powerful.HCC in Tornado
